The Lorain County Solid Waste Management District would like to thank ALL of our participants from our past contests and welcome you to the 2025 contest page!
Here you will find side-tabs for the 2025 District contests! These contests include the following:
- Billboard Contest: Contest runs in March; winners are selected and displayed on billboards from Mid April - Mid May in Lorain County to promote the Lorain County Beautiful cleanup and beautification day!
- Calendar Contest: **UPDATE** This contest will Early October, 2025! Winners will be announced in mid- late October. Students are invited to attend a Lorain County Commissioner's Board Meeting to receive recognition and a prize check. Their artwork will be made into a calendar that will be distributed across Lorain County. Winning students and teachers will receive copies of the calendars.
- America Recycles Day (ARD) Challenge: ARD Pledge runs from late October through Mid November, students and teachers are asked to PLEDGE to learn more about recycling in their community, ACT by recycling more in the following month and SHARE the information they've learned about recycling with family or friends! Teachers who return the pledge sheets are entered into a drawing for a pizza party.
