DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES

AA, AAA, C and D alkaline batteries can be safely disposed in the regular trash when the power is depleted.

Do not place lithium ion or any rechargeable battery in the trash or curbside recycling! 

Rechargeable batteries can be taken to the Collection Center for recycling.

Used Motor Oil and Filters Recycling Options

Throughout Lorain County auto parts and auto service companies accept motor oil for free. This includes all AutoZone Auto Parts, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA Auto Parts, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Conrad’s Total Car Care, and other companies. In addition, O’Reilly Auto Parts accepts oil filters for recycling. 

The following organizations, located near the Collection Center, will accept motor oil in quantities less than five (5) gallons and/or oil filters:
